Foundations For Babies 0-18 mo Music is one of your baby’s favorite things – AND it’s one of the best things for your baby’s developing mind. Babies’ brains are filled with billions of neurons just waiting to be connected through sensory stimulation. That’s what we do when we’re in Kindermusik: we offer a sensory rich environment, complete with music, movement and fun, to create and strengthen baby’s neural pathways. Each Kindermusik class touches on every learning domain, creates special bonding moments, and begins to instill a lifelong love of music.

Level 2 for Toddlers 18mo – 3 y Kindermusik for Toddlers encourages children at this stage to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control, and communications skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming, and object identification foster language skills, while creative movement to various musical “moods” develops a sense of balance, timing, and spatial awareness. Listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills. This special class is a unique opportunity for parent and child to interact and learn together in an unhurried and joyful manner.

Our Level 3 Imagine That! courses embrace the exuberance of the 3 to 5 year old in a musical learning curriculum that integrates music, expressive language, peer interaction and pretend play. Current research confirms that pre-schooled age children thrive on participatory, expressive learning. We integrates carefully planned thematic activities, diversity of music, and involve both children and parents in purposeful learning during Sharing Time and at home. This is a drop-off class – you as a parent or caregiver will join us for the last fifteen minutes of each class. For children with some English experience, either at home, in the Kindergarten or having lived abroad.

For English Learners:

Our Level 3 Imagine That! for Mixed Ages (with Parents and Siblings) is ideal for children who are learning English as a second language and who maybe don’t hear English at home or in the Kindergarten. Same exciting curriculum, but attended as a Family-style class with parent and younger siblings present.

Kindermusik Musicians (for English speakers ages 4,5-7) This course provides a pressure-free, developmentally-appropriate transition to musically succeed before taking on more formal instruction. Kindermusik Musicians provides the opportunity to explore voice development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols and authentic pre-keyboard, string and woodwind instruments.

This course is a wonderful and fun yet comprehensive two-year programme. By the end of the course, children will have learned to read all the notes of the scale, read and use rhythm in 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 meters in order to be able to play pre-keyboard, string and wind instruments. Additionally they will have learned about music history, world music styles,  composers, and musical terms such as staccato/legato and piano and forte.

Home Materials Kit and Monthly Music Streaming Fee: €65 per Semester

With older children ready to show the little ones how it’s done and the younger ones eager to learn, this class becomes a multi-layered learning environment. Each week, we will introduce basic musical concepts and then give you the instruments, and the structured free time to put those concepts into play.

Your children will listen to instruments and to each other, learn from their peers and older children, and enjoy music and movement with hoops, scarves and tumble-around play. Story time and family jams, puppet play and happy singing – all the activities that encourage discovery and exploration and foster sharing and social skills too. In this special place for musical, social and emotional learning, your children will strengthen their ties with each other and with you – and they’ll start developing the skills they’ll need in school and on the neighbourhood playground.
